Installation

The installation of the LPD Charcoal Black Vancouver 5P is designed to be user-friendly and straightforward. Regarding storage and acclimatisation; your doors must be stored horizontally on a clean, dry, flat and level surface in your home for at least 7 days prior to installation. Please do not store your doors in a freshly plastered room or in an unheated shed or garage.

The door is pre-finished meaning it is ready to hang with no further decoration required. Ensure that any new door frame is square and plumb before installation for optimal fit and function. All quality timber doors have a solid lipping around the edge.

This allows the doors to be trimmed or planed in order to make up for slight variations in the dimensions of the door frame. Trimming allowances vary from door to door. For hinge installation, we recommend using a minimum of three, 3" (three inch) quality hinges conforming to BS EN 1935. Three hinges will support the weight of the door and prevent warping.
