Installation

The installation of the LPD White Knightsbridge 2P FD30 Fire Door is designed to be user-friendly and straightforward. Regarding storage and acclimatization, your doors must be stored horizontally on a clean, dry, flat, and level surface in your home for at least 7 days prior to installation. Please do not store your doors in a freshly plastered room, or in an unheated shed or garage.

The door is pre-finished, meaning it is ready to hang with no further decoration required. Ensure that any new door frame is square and plumb before installation for optimal fit and function. All quality timber doors have a solid lipping around the edge.

This allows the doors to be trimmed or planed to make up for slight variations in the dimensions of the door frame. Trimming allowances vary from door to door. If you are unsure about fitting, consider seeking assistance from a professional.
