Installation

The installation of the Deanta Sandringham White Primed Bevelled Internal Glazed Door is designed to be user-friendly and straightforward. Regarding storage and acclimatisation; your doors must be stored horizontally on a clean, dry, flat and level surface in your home for at least 7 days prior to installation. Please do not store your doors in a freshly plastered room or in an unheated shed or garage.

The door is Primed, meaning it is supplied with a factory applied base primer. The door will usually require further final decoration. One to two coats of your chosen finish will be needed. Whatever product you choose, make sure to use a fine sandpaper to remove any excess primer or roughened surface patches before your first coat. Dark final colours will require a first coat with a dark primer. Ensure that any new door frame is square and plumb before installation for optimal fit and function. One big advantage with Deanta doors is their very generous trimming allowance. This Deanta door can be trimmed by up to 16mm from each edge, that is 16mm each from the top and bottom and left and right.

This makes it ideal if you have an existing awkward shaped doorway. If you are unsure about fitting, consider seeking assistance from a professional. Please see the table below for the maximum trimming allowances for this door.

For hinge installation, we recommend using a minimum of three, 3 (three inch) quality hinges conforming to BS EN 1935. Three hinges will support the weight of the door and prevent warping.

It is essential to comply with local fire regulations if you are installing in areas requiring fire-rated doors.
