Installation

The installation of the Mendes Chiswick Hardwood Unglazed External Door Pair is designed to be user-friendly and straightforward. Regarding storage and acclimatisation; your doors must be stored horizontally on a clean, dry, flat and level surface in your home for at least 7 days prior to installation. Please do not store your doors in a freshly plastered room or in an unheated shed or garage.

The door is Un-finished meaning it is supplied without any treatment to the external grade veneer. The recommended treatments are quality brand exterior varnish, lacquer or paint system.

For hinge installation, we recommend using a minimum of three, 4" (four inch) quality hinges conforming to BS EN 1935. Three hinges will support the weight of the door and prevent warping.

Please note it is essential to comply with local fire regulations if you are installing in areas requiring fire-rated doors.

To achieve the best results, hiring a professional joiner is advisable to ensure proper installation and finishing.
